There are a lot of new and exciting beauty and fashion trends for spring 2016 to look forward to. Here are my top 5 new trend favourites.
Number 1. Braids and ponytails
They will never go out of fashion but they are definitely going to be big this spring. Low ponytails have made an appearance on catwalks as wells as braids incorporated into ponytails. I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot of braids and ponytails very soon! Pleats have downsized and become a lot tighter than the messy pleats for Autumn 2015. Designers like Boss, Altuzarra and Tome have adopted this style.

Number 2. Modern Victorian
Gothic lace, lace-up boots and cameo necklaces are here to stay! Modern Victorian was all over that catwalk and is a trend to watch out for in spring 2016. Designer Alberta Ferretti has debuted this style all over the catwalk! Maxi dresses with a high neck collar seem to be the go to for many celebrities such a Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller but blouses and necklaces can be an easy way to wear this in day-to-day life.

Number 3. Anklets
In Calvin Klein’s new collection, anklets were a new addition. This is expected to be a spring/summer trend and a must have for 2016. Anklets will look effortless with shorts and trainers in the spring/summer time whether you are just hanging with friends or you are on holiday at the beach.

Number 4. Fish Net clothes
Marni, Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler and many more designers draped their models in oversized mesh on the runways. Looks like this will also be a popular trend for this year. You could be bold and wear a mesh dress or keep it simple with a mesh top. Whatever you choose I’m sure it will be bang on trend for this spring.

Number 5. Sheer
Slip dresses were on catwalks for spring summer 2016 collections. Oversized robes were thrown over lacey lingerie at Givenchy and Dior. They may not be an everyday item but they will be on trend this year
